Your GP has given you a drug which is known to work  ::) …….. if you mix you will NOT know which does/not work.  Herbals sometimes work for a short while and there's nothing wrong with the placebo effect.  I was SO worried about taking stuff but it was that or not survive  :-\

If you have had over 8 hours between medication/herbals you should be OK with Valium - 2mg is not a big dose and you should find it relaxes you.

If you are unhappy with what your GP has suggested, go to a pharmacist 2-morrow for a chat as to what will work the quickest? and he/she will tell you what you can take, with what and when ……

Only you can decide what exactly you want to take.  None of us can stop the side-effects that might happen ………. which is why keeping a chart can be useful.  Valium can be quick acting so having a warm bath, a cuppa and into bed before taking the 1st dose may enable you to sleep.  You may wake in the night to see if you've been asleep  ::) …….. that happens to me!

Fear is a great leveller.  Sitting by me this week, not being able to eat but knowing my body is hungry hasn't been easy either.  You are not alone.

If you find that the herbal helps, stick with it for a few days.  Do have a chat with a Pharmasist too and check what can be taken with which medication.   Reassurance from someone who is working with medication daily can be really helpful!   My worry is that if I eat I'll feel worse  :-\ : if I take that medication I'll feel worse ……… sometimes I did but kept trying and trying - that was in the 1990s and now I'm usually on an even keel.

R you having a bath to relax?

Hi CKLD

Yes I had a bath in Lavender bubble bath find it relaxing then early night with hot milk, think the herbal tablet did calm me and would have slept all night if my cat hadn't kept coming in for cuddles, hope today  will be better, thanks and hugs to youxx

Don't worry about not taking advice, just keep posting as it will help you whatever you decide. Most of us have been exactly where you are now and we can all feel your agony. CLKD has given you some good advice regarding writing things down so that you can refer back to it and get yourself back in control. I know I keep saying this but please remember this will pass xxx

Aww sorry to hear that Karenja

How far into your cycle are you?

Just asking cos it's best not to miss too many days of your cycle without patches, but one of other more experienced girls will tell you if it's ok.

Hi Dandelion

I haven't had a natural bleed for a year now, only a bleed brought on when I came off the first lot of hrt I tried months ago as I came off early, Ive decided to go back on Estradot and will take Utrogestan later and give it a proper try and try not to worry about side effects xx

Did you speak with a Pharmacist about the mixing of the different ideas you have?  Maybe go to Lloyds 2-morrow!

Hi Millykin

I may ask my nephews fiancé to ask her boss she works as a dispensing assistant in boots, which could be handy x

Hey
You should ask, my sister is a dispenser @ a llyods pharmacy very handy lol. She doesn't think twice about shovelling meds down her throat! Within reason I might add, just that she knows the leaflets have to list everything to cover manufacturers.
