Morning - for the last few months ive been suffering additional intense symptoms even with my oestrogel. Been to see GP who thinks its 'stress' but my gut feeling is at 56 I have increases symptoms as my own hormones have packed in.

I have started to wake with a burning sensation in my vagina, it improves as the day goes on, mid morning at around 11sh I get hot sweaty, lightheaded. Finally I am suffering the worst anxiety/depression EVER.

Got apt with GP nxt week, but feel im a nuisance...........

Hello warwick01.

I wanted to send my sympathies and to say I am in a similar position to you. I am 58 and in spite of being on a medium dose patch and Utrogestan I am still having problems that are similar to yours. I also think that this is probably caused by a lack of natural hormones.

Your GP must see many women our age with these difficulties so you are not being a nuisance, in fact my first thought this morning was to make an appointment to see my doctor as I'm so fed up with it all.

Thank you for those kind words. It really helps to know other women feel the same although I wish non of us suffered.

It's such a complex issue the meno with all its varied symptoms. I feel I keep going with a different symptom i.e lightheadness/dizziness, fatigue feeling hot and very weak mid mornings.

However since July the anxiety and depression has got so bad I gave my job up in September (this didn't help) now the VA is kicking in.
