For Gods sake!
We don't even need for this to enter our heads for two and a half months so let's not. We have to put up with enough about it as it is. It was 30 deg + in London yesterday (where I went) and I'm picking tomatoes. Let's enjoy the present (no pun intended!!!!!!!!!)
This thread should be dead from Jan to Dec the following year FFS!

I don't normally shop until November, but I did buy all my Christmas cards at the RSPB shop on holiday as they were so lovely.

I love Christmas - at the right time. What gets me is when the whole of December is lumped into the Christmas umbrella. Advent starts on December 1st......

Haven't had my summer holiday yet.
I normally get halloween out of the way and then start thinking about Christmas.
Get all my cards in the January sales.

I don't like Christmas at all. I always make an effort and we have fab food etc but if I had my way we would just go abroad and relax for a week. Mum comes to us every year and loves it so we carry on the tradition as neither of her son's ever ask her to theirs.
We don't have many to buy for really and as all of us are fortunate enough to buy what we want when we want, they are usually just token gifts.

You can have mine
Mum likes help with cooking the meal ……. lives alone so we go over and usually enjoy ourselves, it's the anticipatory anxiety that threatens which has always spoiled it for me

No thanks CLKD, although thanks for the offer. Christmas just means lots to me. I know it's early to be talking about it but I don't think that matters. The reason for Christmas gives me hope and that can't be bad.

Not even had Mabon yet, never mind Samhain - let's not think about Yule until December!
