There's been a report that people feel side-lined if they don't drink alcohol at C.mas parties. Can't people learn to say 'no, not for me'
. It has never bothered me if I don't want alcohol I don't accept the glass. Why not start a trend .......... or if really really worried simply don't go the 'do'?

Jill,we don't need drink,I think we proved that on Sunday , I like a lager when I'm thirsty and I do like a champagne on special occasions

I have never felt pressure to drink. Many years ago a Barman offered to build a rainbow cocktail but I wouldn't have drunk it so it would have been a waste. So I've never seen one built.

A trailer full of Brussels sprouts has spilled over a road and pavement in Fife.
The vehicle pulling the trailer full of the Christmas dinner vegetable overturned in Queensferry Road in Rosyth at about 10.45.
Police Scotland said it had closed the road and was urging drivers to avoid the area.
A spokesman tweeted: "There's been a bit of a BrusselSprouts accident at the roundabout at Admiralty Road."
The tweet added: "Please avoid the area if possible. Traffic and Christmas dinners may be affected. Apologies for any delays.
Whoops
Also: our neighbours have some sort of machine so that they have large snow flakes projected onto the front of their house

Tnx Hurdity: actually. Yes. I feel birthday-ish still. Shops are quite quiet. Decs sorted, some into the loft that we don't need this year. The others are collecting dust. Quietly
10 what ever it is ...........

It did though, go over
. I try not to think about the next one though it does pop up in a form of anxiety quite regularly
