Think of it as 'natural'.  We pack a lot into each day so are bound to forget some things.  What bothers me the most is the time spent searching for my reading glasses  >:(  ::) …….. at least they are in the house usually whereas in the Summer they could be on the chicken roof, in their run, in the garden, under some weeds, in the compost heap  ::) - in the car or camper …..

We do have to remind each other what we are doing as we go through the day though ……..  :-\

Its because we multitask so much on a daily basis, something's gotta give.  ;)  Being excessively tired can have quite an effect too.

Hi Ladies, glad its not just me, yes I agree being excessively tired doesn't help, I seem to be sleeping ok but still feel  tired the the next day so not sure what is going on, also I have started to have really light headed moments, I had them before hrt but they have started again, I seriously think im going to faint but don't, I tend to eat or pick rather often in work to stop me feeling light headed, between menopause, picking and hrt and lack of exercise due to my anxiety no wonder im getting podgy x

Oh hun its horrid isnt it, progesterone made this really pronounced for me and it scared me a bit to be honest. Since stopping hrt im still a bit forgetful but not to such a scary degree. I really miss my quick thinking brain!!

Well I was starting to feel better mentally since my gallbladder op 5 weeks ago, but this week I seem to be back to where I was a few months ago, shakes, brain fog, can't be bothered, snappy, tearful and can't think straight. Last period was day of op and only 20 days after previous one, so I'm guessing hormonal.

Went to look for my bank card last night and it wasn't where it should've been, turned out I'd left it in the card reader in local shop 3 days earlier!  Luckily they kept it aside, so got it back, then I asked for cashback, wasn't till about an hour after I got home, I realised she hadn't given me the cashback but had processed it, I went back and fortunately she remembered not giving me it but also thought she hadn't processed it, good job I still had my receipt. I then went to put my yogurt pot in the washing up bowl and spoon in the bin.  I also notice I am spelling things wrong and getting words muddled up.  One of my friends is also peri and having similar symptoms, the other day she called me off her landline, I then heard her say to her son to take the other phone as her mobile was on charge, when I asked her what other phone she was referring to, she replied she had 2 handsets for her landline, I said yes but you are on the landline therefore can't use the other handset, she kept repeating she had 2, and it took her a good few minutes for it to sink in what I was saying.  So you see we are not alone, and nor are we going mad, though sometimes it does feel that way!

I wonder why it happens though - it's not senile dementia but as we all suffer it must be a 'natural' progression of something  ::)

Hi, I've been thinking I feel a bit like I did when I was pregnant...I lost a lot of my vocabulary, couldn't use the photocopier at work, forgetful...completely distracted...and tired

maybe a mix of being distracted by feeling cr@ppy and tired and hormones going mad...hope it passes soon, would be easier to deal with if I knew there was an end to it! xx
