I fall out with hubby doing our king size duvet. I'm a bit ocd about any lumps in it & shake it to within an inch of its life!  ;D He doesn't give two hoots, so long as he's cosy.  ::)

cubagirl I like you, I do that too. I can't stand bits of cover with no duvet in and lumpy bits in the middle so once we have got the cover on I shake it and shake it and stir up loads of dust. Same as when we make the bed. He just pulls it up, I shake, rattle and roll it  ;D

This takes two people but it's a good method.

Turn duvet cover inside out. Stand on bed....without shoes   ;D....stick your hands inside duvet covet and grasp the corners of the duvet cover and the duvet. Get the other person to gently pull the duvet cover down over the duvet and hey presto it's on. Button up and shake. No empty corners.

Is that as clear as mud or did anyone get it  ;D

Oh I've tried that, even bought some special clips to hold top bit in place. Did it work? Nope! Much easier in days of double duvets.  ;D

Which is how they are supposed to be used so that they envelope bodies individually, therefore keeping the person warm all round  ;)

Not quite sure that's it CLKD.  ;D

Definitely a two person job. One to hold....tight....one to pull.  ;D

It really works though. I can do it on my own with a single duvet but a king size needs two.

I do that too HB but I dangle the duvet over the banister so gravity makes it easier to get the cover to go over the duvet
