HI
I've been looking forward to the menopause for the last 43 years - seriously. My periods were so awful I got excited every time I was a couple of days late in the last 10 years - MAYBE THIS IS IT! (I think i have kept the Ibruprofen manufacturers in business for years).
Anyway after July 2013 I had no periods and no symtoms. Bargain, thought I, about what I deserve after what I've suffered.

Then June 2014 I had one period, absolutely normal (2 days raging PMT, aches everywhere, appalling cramp for 2 days and wanting to burst into tears for no reason at all). I haven't had a 'show' since then but the menopause symptoms suddenly kicked in!
Thanks to lurking on this forum I've got the hot flushes currently under control with Starflower oil (googled it, there's no evidence it works, tried it anyway and it does), and I only suffer insomnia from 03:00 until dawn if I drink more than I should. I think the starflower oil is helping my short term memory as well. Oh, and also I think the starflower oil is helping my short term memory as well

. The only thing that's still getting me down is aches and pains all over, I can only attribute this to menopause, most days I feel as if I spent yesterday digging trenches for WW1 soldiers. I have an active lifestyle and I'm reasonably fit and not overweight so this part is bugging me a bit, hoping to get some help for that on here.
Anyway all in all I still think the symptoms are worth it.
