Period type pain every day.
« on: August 06, 2014, 01:03:42 PM »

I've not had a period since January but keep getting what feels like mild period pain low in the groin. Sometimmes it's so severe I am convinced I will get a bleed that or the next day but it never happens. Sometimes I even feel what I can only describe as a flushing warm sensation down below but when I check there's no sign of anything. Is this normal?

I am also getting aches high up in the centre (under the rib cage) of my tum and back but at the moment I'm presuming these are not connected and it's an acid type of problem that I've had tablets for before.

Thanks.

Hi,
I still have regular periods but they are becoming weirder (only way i could think of putting it!!).
I sail through my period, the only thing i get is a headache and mild cramps on the first day but when it ends that's when i get cramps. I get them practically every day for the following week and on and off until the next period and to be honest i only really feel more like my old self when i'm on a period.

It sounds normal for peri-menopause Dawn. I think what can happen is that the womb lining has failed to build up during the previous month and the womb is trying to expel something that isn't there. The hormones fluctuate so much at this time of life so you may have had more of one than the other during your cycle and the whole thing loses it's usual rhythm.
