Stellajane - I also noticed during the last couple of uses of Utrogestan that I had more bladder irritation and was rushing to the loo and only just getting there in time!  Moods/anger/PMT symptoms were off the charts.

As discussed a few years back on here, progesterone seems (for some prog sensitive/intolerant women) to have a sort of cumulative effect in the body - and whereas it may be tolerated at one time, at a later stage it may not.  I am baffled by it and by how my body reacts and will never understand it.  Utrogestan is supposedly the least androgenic yet I still experience increased air shedding whenever I take it.

I am intending to stay off for as long as I can (apart from Vagifem) - though this time withdrawal seems to have kicked in very quickly.  After nearly one week drenching night sweats are back with a vengence, also gritty eyes and painful fingers joints, just for starters!  Not sure how long I'll last.  However I only have to think of taking Utro to find some resolve to stay off.  I've been foraging through my carrier bag of herbs/supplements etc, may take some red clover - and have dug out my Ladycare Magnet.  The meno clinic have on numerous occasions suggested a hyster and take estro only - but seems too drastic.

Please do let us know how you get on with staying off the gel.
