I am 49, post menopausal on Livial. I have been taking HRT for the last 28 years. It seems I have been getting quite a few age related ailments. Post menopausal aged 13. Osteoarthritis aged 25. Underactive thyroid aged 39. Age related hearing loss age 47. I have suffered from depression and anxiety since I was a child. HRT is not a wonder drug when you weigh up these ailments. It did however stop the hot flushes I had as a teenager. I have also gained weight. I have been on various HRT tablets, tried patches and had a implant once. My doctors do not monitor my HRT. I discovered this forum, my first contact with women with the menopause. I hear the occasional horror story about HRT which is not very reassuring for someone who has been on it 28 years. The worst thing I had on it was a cervical polyp. I changed to Livial after that. Been on Livial about 7 years. Then I got another age related problem affecting my bladder. I don't know if there is anyone out there that has been on HRT this long.
