MOT Celebrations!
« on: April 17, 2014, 09:58:20 AM »

I went for a routine check up, following a blood test. Having been poorly for a year, little exercise, my blood pressure and cholesterol levels had gone up and I was told by the gynaecologist I saw 2 months ago, that I was insulin resistant. I was advised to go on a low carb diet. I have lost half a stone, my cholesterol, blood pressure and glucose levels are back to normal. Still got a tyre round my middle, but there is a glimmer of a waist appearing.

Had to share! Feel proud of myself. Just celebrated with a cup of tea and a digestive biscuit! :gym:

Thank you all!

Annika, just noticed the time you wrote your post! I hope you got to sleep! Insomnia was a problem for several years, but since starting oestrogen therapy before starting testosterone therapy, I have been sleeping better. Will never take sleeping well for granted again! One thing I did learn is to avoid blue light technology ( PC s and TV ) 2 hours before bedtime or during the night however tempting, as it doesn't help. You can wear solar shield glasses (amazon around £20 ). Happy sleeping!  8)
