Yes, I have this, along with salty taste, dry mouth and a feeling of salt burns.
Hoping now I've started on Evorel Sequi patches it'll improve.

Is there anything else can be used to alleviate the symptoms? I did read on here that there are some sucky sweets available but I haven't looked into it.
Hope you're coping. Mines pretty bad tonight and my tongue feels really burnt.

Are you taking any other kinds of meds? Some meds can have this effect.

Sometimes a cold virus can give you a change of taste and / or a sore tongue, but this is really something you ought to discuss with your dentist because it could be due to gum problems or your teeth.
We have little 'tonsils' down the sides of our tongue which react to viruses which can give us sore tongues, or sometimes it can be due to a food intolerance.

I have mentioned this before but some people get "pine mouth" caused by eating pine nuts ( apparently most of them are from China and contain a mix of types and it's one of the types that can cause this). This gives a metallic taste in the mouth and is worse (more noticeable) after certain foods.
I was convinced there must be something wrong with my teeth but when I googled it this is what came up , and sure enough I had started eating a nut mix on my muesli the previpus couple of week or so. Once I stopped eating the nuts the taste disappared ( after about a fortnight) and now I avoid pine nuts where I can.
Not saying this is the cause of yours (if you haven't recently started eating pine nuts!) but it is a most bizarre phenomenon!
