Thank you, presume you need to take progesterone as well in some form or other.

If you use Oestrogel you will need progesterone in either pill form (various options available including Utrogestan) or have a Mirena coil fitted.

Thanks DG, I'm getting the idea now 

Turns out I have a vitamin D deficiency so GP has prescribed some capsules for 3 months.  I dont think she wanted to discuss HRT even though she pointed out that vitamin D capsules wont help with hot flushes  , you dont say!!! 

So, I'll give these a go.  If they get rid of the aches and pains and tiredness maybe I can put up with the rest...

Vitamin D is really vital through winter months as sunshine is the only really good source.  Try some Omega oils and glucosamine as well. DG x
