I tried Jamies 15 minute meals once- the  cooking took approx 15 mninutes but it was HOURS of prep, every pot and pan was used!!!! The kitchen looked like a bomb had hit it! It tasted nice though. :o :o
Like Mary Berry- a good sensible book, like having my lovely auntie Vie in the kitchen with me- currently using lots from Dale Pinnocks 'The medicinal Chef' love the recipes- easy, non fussy and healthy, love it. My bones seem to be so bad at the mo Im looking at what I eat.

I like to take the basics from a recipe and adapt things to suit my family. I did train as a chef though which does help.
