That's the one - that's the scene I remember most too. Apparently there was a props man laying under the table who swopped the sock for one containing ping pong balls just before he hit the guy with it - still hurt, though! The male rape scene in the greenhouse was so shocking but probably not particularly graphic by today's standards.

I forgot about Apollo 13 too.  Another one we watch a lot is The Wright Stuff.  I have watched Top Gun & An Officer & a Gentleman a lot too.

'Wuthering Heights' - 1992 version. My favourite book too.

'300' - Tom Wisdom as Astinos. Oh my...

'Perfume' - Amazing sets and I love period drama

'Plunkett and McLean' - A wonderful historical romp, even if it's not entirely accurate who cares.

'The Full Monty' - Cos it makes me smile

Any Star Trek film or series.

What a Wonderful Life I love Jimmy Stewart
Mr Smith goes to Washington  Yeeh for the little guy.

The Miss Marple films with Margaret Rutherford, I just love the theme tune, I would use it as a ring tone if I knew where to get it.

Any western or horsey or doggy :scottie: film. I just oogle the hosses and marvel at how well trained the dogs are.
I try to get mine to watch,(dogs not horses, they're too big for the sitting room ::).but it doesn't improve them much ;D
I got Champion the Wonder Horse DVD set for Xmas last year. ( can tell I have to buy my own pressies ;D)

I sat and watched the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe which went by me when I was younger.  It was great, the special effects were really good and I was on the edge of the settee at times making whimpering noises when Aslan died but he didn't he got up eventually ......... apparently Hubby had seen it before  ???    ???  don't know who with though 'cos I never have done  :P

Been watching The Nativity at 7.00 p.m. on BBC1 which has been interesting ........ didn't think of Mary having had a painful labour, sort of thought Jesus popped out ..... after all everything else was miraculous ;-)

Yes, we tend to 'gloss over' the actual birth of Jesus ... !  There's a good ghost story on tonight about 9pm that I'll be watching (bet OH goes and plays on his computer as he doesn't like spooky things)  :)

As I have to walk dogs on my own down unlit country roads I steer away from spooky and horror and women getting attacked films.

I know I'm a wimp who would attack me with 3 dogs, sometimes 5 dogs. :scottie: :scottie:
