Mine isn't listening - again  ::)

I told him that I needed to go to Mr Smith's Farm yesterday with some 'things' for Mrs Smith, you know, the Farm along the A.....  .  OK DH replied.  An hour later: "When do you want to go to Mr Brown's Farm and what for?" ........ he really couldn't remember my saying it was Mrs Smith I needed to see, even after I told him that Mr Brown's Farm is in the opp direction  ::) ......... then I began to wonder if I had told him 'right' but could fortunately: unusally for me : remember the conversation  :-\

Bit like talking to the wall CLKD. I sympathise. They hear what they want to. I can prattle away to mine, he switches off! I've gotten to asking him what I've actually been talking about. He gets the gist of it, but it's really annoying isn't it?

I have to confess that I'm just as bad. Mine was wittering away and telling me what he was going to do and when he would be back and I just switched off. I had to phone him once he'd left to find out where he was going. I can usually filter in the necessary details and lodge them in my brain without having to listen to the boring minutiae of the conversation!
