Hello! I am 41 and started prempak c 3 months ago. I was blood tests a couple of years ago (consistent with menopause result) but chose to pretend it wasn't happening!

I am only changing from prempak because of what has been said on here about it. It suits me fine, and I know I'm lucky in that respect. So what I'm asking is, if I don't get on with these patches is it really that bad to go back on prempak? I'll obviously be on it for a long time as I'm early.

No one can advise me I know however I felt I would like to ask.  Thanks, nina

Hi Nina - welcome to the forum.

I can understand why you have decided to try a different type of HRT but at the end of the day, if the patches or other HRT types don't suit you, then I feel you do have to consider your own health. It is important that you are on some form of oestrogen replacement at your age. If you find the patches aren't giving you the same amount of help then at least you have tried and you should have no qualms at going back onto Prempak - well that's what I think anyway!

Thank you. I will try the patches. At least my mother will be pleased I'm avoiding (according to her) 'that horse crap'. You'd think she would be more supportive!!
