Well as I don't get my bum out on the beach it's not a worry for me
and if you do break a leg you would have to tell them anyway..

Couldn't care less if patch is seen. Mind you with my waist high Knicks & full swimsuits, few would see them anyway.

It works well for me. No faffing about. I change twice a week. Stick it on and forget it. It's a personal choice though.

I wasn't offered patches when I switched to gel, blissfully ignorant. But like HB says no faffing.

It is hard to know what to do for the best, all I want is a happy medium, to feel good and happy, i would rather a patch as I dont need to worry every day but there is a few to choose and I am not sure which one to ask for, Estradot, Everol or Estraderm, for which I was on 50mcg but it seemed to wear off early and my GP told me that it was the highest dose you can get !!! not sure whether to try Estradot and whats the right dose would I need , I am currently on 2mg climaval so whats the right one

Initially I was put on Estradot 50, but gave me awful jitters. Reduced to 37.5 after a few months & now on lowest dose of 25. It's trial & error really. Meno clinic suggested Estradot as it sticks better & I have to say 99% of the time it does. There are higher doses 75 & 100. GP would need to calculate the dosage.

Hi thanks for all your help, I will go armed to my GP tomorrow and hopefully he/she will change them, I will ask for Estradot but not sure what dose, I have printed out some info from here about the benefits of changing from oral to transdermal , just worried about on long it will take for the new type will take to kick in,thanks

We're all different & need different doses. Be patient. You may be lucky & GP gets dosage right first time. Fingers crossed.

25 mcg patch for me too, I do try to keep it on for a week, to much estrogen makes me feel jittery too, like I have had too much coffee.
