Please can someone tell me how long patches take to work? Think I expected too much as still feel the same & been on them for 2 weeks!

Sorry to hear this chezzym. Which symptoms are you hoping to get relief from?  The flushes are usually the first things to improve - depression and anxiety usually take quite a lot longer though.

Insomnia gets better pretty soon too.  What are your symptoms and what type of HRT (patches) are you on.?

Hi Chezzym,

I must have started my patches about the same time as you. I only started with half a patch (cos I'm scared of side effects ::)) so didn't notice too much at first, unsurprisingly! Although I didn't feel as down as normal that could have been the effect of me doing something positive. My worst two symptoms were palpitations and insomnia due to flushes. The palpitations affected me a lot - they made me constantly anxious and were very uncomfortable so that I felt I couldn't do normal things.
They started to improve almost right away and have stopped. I have to fly to the UK next week with my daughter for a uni interview and at one time this would have been an almost impossible ordeal. I would have done it because I have to but would have been in constant panic mode between now and then thinking I was going to pass out but I am so calm now that I am looking forward to it!
Flushes and insomnia are taking longer, but have also improved since being on full patch.

Hope you are seeing improvements now too :)
