Had heaps to do, so started off with soup making first. Hit stresscos for what should have been quick shop. Choosing stuff & popping in trolley was easy peasy. But OMG the checkouts. For once they had most of them open. Got stuck behind customer with pile of coupons, I had load myself, so couldn't grumble. However, what I hadn't realised was their coupons weren't scanning so had to be done manually. My turn came, my coupons scanned but didn't deduct the value, so had to be done manually. Then had to pop into health shop and their buy 2 get one free wasn't working so had to be done manually also. So what should have taken about 30 minutes tops took more than 3 x as long.
Hubby has been working, at home all morning, so couldn't tidy kitchen, which was like a bomb site, so had to sort that out. Then I couldn't find screw driver to switch off water to outside tap, took me ages to find that. Then I had to sort out washing machine, it was jumping across the floor. Finally sat down to soup, 30 minutes ago. Knackered!
Now for a piece of useless information. Did you know that more people need dental treatment prior to Christmas than any other time of the year due to broken fillings & teeth? Not because of mince pies etc but due to stress. Although we don't know it, we clench our teeth more at this time of year & something has to give. Hygienist told me yesterday as I'd broken a tooth. Think it was Taz who had to make trip to dentist just before Christmas last year & still had Christmas shopping to do.
Oh & to top it off hubby still can't work temperature control for central heating! He's just had his umpteenth lesson.
