Is This Normal?
« on: November 11, 2013, 08:08:15 PM »

I am 47 years old and for the past year or so my periods have be getting closer together.  But then my last period was 44 days ago.  I came on yesterday but it is really light and pinky.  Is this normal?  Should I be seeing my doctor?

Sounds within normal limits.  Mine came and went for 2/3 years, then stopped.  Sometimes there were weeks between, occasionally months ....... I didn't stop carrying protection on holiday for 5 years after the last bleed, in case  ::)

No need to see a doctor at this point toffeecushion. If you start to get menopausal symptoms as your periods decrease in frequency (if they do that rather than become more frequent, as they do with some women) then maybe time to see your doctor and discuss using HRT if appropriate for you?
