Tey had a chat and said every Naval Army Air base will be closed so will the ancilary places so no work
They will close down the contracts for the Cock yards remove the Subs ships etc thousand will loose their jobs
Theres reports already Cammel Lairds in B/.Nead was reopened and contacts look like gng their way if Indi for Scotland
I dont kow if you know but it cost 22 pound to get a letter to the Isle of skye but you pay what 60p who will pay then? Together we are strong. BUT Im a beliver in Democracy and if Scotland wants INDI thats their right.
BUT how isolated NO EU not till Scotland as a new country shows 3% gdp NO NATO no COOMENWEALTH
Scotland will have to aplly to rejoin it will only eed on Country to say NO and thats it so its not an easy thing to do!

Have watched a few reports and interviews on TV about Scotland's vote for independence, most were against it.

Here are some pros and cons

Scotland was an independent country until over 300 years ago and then lost that status.  This is the chance to make a choice that Scottish people should have had then.  History not so much in the making, as taking up from where it left off in 1707.

There are so many negative points though. As Suzi said we stand to loose so much if we vote yes.
There are questions the politicians just can't answer as they can't possibly know.

Far too much of a risk I think. And I am serious about moving south if this happens and I doubt if I will be alone in thinking this.

Will take 30 years to separate out the Fiscal Union alone, this is all costing money which would be better spent on improving some of our schools which sorely need attention, taxes will rise and there will be a brain drain and we do not need more politicians

My Aunty saids what slamons keeps going on about is IReland did it YES they did in the 20s and the poverty
It also lead to the Irish Civil war thats not often spoken or taught.
Kownes saying Sctoland would be like that but where the money coming from
Most of the wells are owned by fore national companies now? The taxes would have to be massive
5 million people would have to PAY for UNI and scripts etc things we in the rest of U have to pay for.
Then there will be people that will leave buisnesses that will be enitces by say Wales move her low tax company rate
Sctoland would get in di but at what price? AND isolated and sad to say from reading the rst of the UK wouldnt help
It is a cse of your either pregant or not If Sctoland wants INDI thats fine but then they have to go it alone
Not look to rest of the K for any help or whats the point. Imagine Scots not beig able to go to UK to live without a Visa
The mind boggles Holiday makers having to get a VISA to come to Scotland on hliday how many would bother?
Border crossing Trains would stop at carlile same for Buses Scotland would be like Spain indi with Borders
NO EU theyve already said that NO commoewealtyh scotland would have to reaply to join NO NATO the same.
Can 5 million carry the burden? AND how many of them will leave? Still if its INDI then so be it it will be sad though!
PLUS they will start with a 12% debt to the UK good way to start a new countyr 12billion pounds in debt to the UK
Yu cant expect the rest of the UK to forgive the debt.

Nope honeybun, you are not alone - if the vote is "yes" than I (English and living in Scotland) have also said I will go back south. I think it is a foolish idea, we would be better off leaving the EU than splitting up the UK. And as for the lovely "fat Alex .... " well, the least said the better.  :) However, I don't think it will be yes.

I haven't met one person who claims they want us Scots to be independent. Mr Salmond also looks like an old boss of mine & didn't like him either.  ;D

My husbands the first male born in UK of Scottish parents
He said if he had the vote hed vote nO Of all my EXPAT Scots friends not one wants INDI
None of their famlies still living there do EXCEPT their young kids it was a cynical ex Salmod did to give 16year olds the vote why didnt he just say 11 year olds?
If it goes through I honestly think Salmosd and SNP believe Britain will forgive their debt
I think they are tricking Scots in to believing they will walk in to EU the next day bus as usual
Scotland will be a new country and have to apply and wait up to 5 years to enter so MONEY?
Commenwealth even silly things like the games any Scot athelete wont be able to compete
2014 maybe the last Games Scotland ever hold or enter. Kowne seems to understand Scotland will have to apply to reneter the commenwealth and it will ony take 1 country to say NO and they wont be aloowed to rejoin thats if they want to of course they may well noty
Salmond has done a good job of persuading Scots the UK wont leave them high and dry well the Welsh will they want all the buisness that Scotland has and will do all it takes to get it
Scotland cits wont be a able to join the UK services they will be a different country
Scotland will have no embassies anywhere what will happen to scots in trouble overseas?
No pound no matter what salmod says Scotland will NOT be allowed to have the British pound
They can keep the scottish pound but not allied to Bankl of England why would England allow it
You cant leave yet want to keep all the benefits of being a part of the UK Why would they?
IM sure Scotland will manage it will take up to 30 years wonder how many will take dual Cits
Or even have to give up their Sdcottish nationality to work to join the forces
There will be nO Navy Army Airforce no sips no planes and the Scots are fierce fighters.
It will be a shame but Scottish people will decide I just wish it was fairer and no 16yr olds!
