Sod's law. Seldom break down when it's hot, do they?

Ours is on and off again.  For a couple of weeks at the end of March we were able to switch it off after breakfast.  The wind however, is SO cold!

Just shows how the change affects your view of things...when I saw this thread title, I thought it was about hot flushes  ::)    ;D

Wind is chilly.  Sky is grey.  Leccy blanket on all night  :-\.  I looked at my Summer light-weight tops in the week and wondered if they will come out of the drawer anytime soon  :D

We had a new boiler last summer and have felt the benefit this past winter for sure. The house is lovely and warm but not overly hot.
We only have the heating coming on in the morning at 6:30am and it goes off at 9:30am. Then on again at 4:30pm to 10pm at night. That seemed to work well for us. Hubby would occasionally put it on after lunch if he felt cold. I just put on a jumper!  :)

Not had the heating off much since this so called spring arrived. Blowing a gale with heavy rain today.

I am on a 2 week trip to Italy. I stayed for the first week with a local host in Arezzo Tuscany. The weather has been cold and wet for most of the week and her flat was really cold with no heating on at all. I wondered why and then heard of a rule that domestic heating must remain off between March 31st and Nov 1st whatever the weather!  Have now moved to a new host in Bologna.  It seems warmer here.

…. and the Italians stick to that 'rule'  :o

I was talking to an Italian driver of F1 racing cars this week and he told me that it is warmer here than in Florence  ::)
