August/any weather in Scotland is rather mixed to say the least! Being born in Glasgow I visited the Highlands and Islands many times, it’s beautiful up there and we still go every year, once in a campervan, got stuck in a field outside Portree  ;D

We drove to Castleton on Monday and back home on Thursday having seen the people that we needed to talk with: about a piece of Blue John bowl and some shards : visiting Bakewell on Tuesday and Buxton on Wed., no anxiety at all  :o ........  in Bakewell we found The Wee Dram where I treated Himself to a bottle of expensive whiskey and he bought himself a different kind, both new 2 him.

Today we have exchanged cards and a huge bouquet arrived mid morning  :-* 8)

 :thankyou:  red rose of course; freesias which I carried that day plus other flowers including agapanthus and a large deep purple hydrangea head so purple, yellow, pinks an blues  8)

Lovely assortment of flowers sending belated best wishes.  Red roses as well how lovely....can I ask how many years!!  Hope you had a very special day and enjoyed it Happy Anniversary.

I have a big day looming - decided to go to my favourite place for a week with hubby and my little fourlegged sweetie. 

Might not get flowers but hopefully a nice meal out.

Oh tnx Girls.  50 years and 1 day ;-). 1 red rose in the bouquet which is what was in the 1 DH gave me for my 21st/engagement and other celebrations.

Tnx.  I will need to separate the bouquet into smaller vases this evening to make sure that they all get water.
