Had my scan and not the news I was hoping for. Uterus lining fine but I have an 8cm cyst only left ovary. The sonographer said it was highly likely to be benign as it was fluid filled ...but I thought all cysts were fluid filled. ??
She told me to go back to the GP as he may wish to refer me to gynea and for blood test . (Had blood test last week and came back ok)
I was very upset when she told me this and said I really have no need to worry (but of course she is going to say that ) She said that often cysts dissappear on their own but of course I am completely terrified as I have read that 8cm is very large and that post menopausal women do not have functional cysts.
I will ring GP in the morning but not sure how I am going to cope with the waiting....Am hiding upstairs from kids at moment as don't want then to see me crying....waiting for hubby to come home..Am so scared..
