I think once you have taken HRT for a while you will find your joint pain easing.  If you still have problems you may need to increase the dose.  GP's prescribe the low dose first ie 1mg but sometimes this is not enough!

Hello and thank you! Yes this is what I am hoping. Interestingly my consultant was quite insistent that as a 'younger lady' (49! My husband and I had such a laugh about this when we left!) I definitely needed the 2mg version. She said that I needed to make sure the GP knew this when I went back for a repeat prescription. So: fingers crossed. Have taken FIRST TABLET today. Feel like an era is ending -- and beginning. All very strange....
