Good morning ladies, hugs to everyone who is feeling bad ((())). I thought it was just me and my rotten luck, Ive been back on 1mg HRT since Dec and have been feeling like my old self until about 3 weeks ago when i stated to feel like VA was trying to sneak back in. After a week it was getting worse and out of desperation i introduced another HRT at bedtime, this has kept it a bay a bit but yesterday i had a complete meltdown.
This is affecting my marriage im so down today, hope it lifts soon. xx

Hi there,
I'm new on this forum but would like to send my best wishes to everyone who is not feeling right at the moment.  Coping with this phase of life has been incredibly difficult and its devastating when it interferes with normal home and working life.  What drew my interest to the forum was this conversation.  I take bio-identical HRT and have been doing so for 3 years.  However, I have found that on a regular basis I need to increase the dosage of estrogen.  I am now on the maximum dosage and, once again, it feels like its wearing off.  I mentioned this to my doctor and she told me that there was a phenomenon whereby some people appeared to become resistant to HRT and regularly required increasing dosages.  Obviously, this is not possible if you already on the maximum dose.  I wondered if anyone had any experience of this?
many thanks

Mrsb21, - I hope you feel better soon, you're in good company here!
Nia - which HRT do you take? I think you'll probably get quite a few people reply about this topic if you put a new thread up?  I'm going back to the docs next week to see if I could do with upping dose.... :)

Hi, when I went back to gp about how I was feeling she immediately doubled my doze to 2mg per day. She said the younger you are then a higher doze is often required as.
