I think you can play online or on your own. But, I assume you have to have the app.  Get yourself an iPad then Lily.   

Would make it an expensive game if I bought an ipad just for candy crush lol maybe when my DS gets fed up, he'll let me on his iphone.

I'm up in the 80's now.  Phone is downstairs - will check later!  The worst for me was 29 - I was stuck on that for about 10 days.
