They are really revolting! I cough one out every now and then, and the smell!!! Disgusting things!

I had my tonsils out when I was 11 and had never heard of these until recently.  Two people that I work with suffer from these   It must be horrible, why on earth are they left like this?  Is it not usual to remove tonsils anymore?
