Removed diseased hellebores leaves and flowers in an effort to stop the transfer of spores when it rains
Planted two small hellebores into a border: 4 more to do, all self seeded; it will be 4-5 years B4 we find out the colours of the flowers.

Snowdrops.  Aconites.  1 yellow crocus open to the ☀️ .  Small buds appearing on the fruit trees ..........  8)

Claggy underfoot when I re-fill the birds' feeders  :(
Hopefully when the weather does warm up the snowdrops will open to the early bees and hover flies.

Several yellow crocii have opened  :-*

Nipped out to cut back some wall flowers - I have 5 in a group, the 1st time I've had success with them.   8).

Worried about the black spots on the hellebores leaves/flowers  :( :-\

Update if any1 is watching  :-\ - it appears it's black spot rather the Black Death on the hellebores; the latter would mean digging out and burning affected plants.  Have spent 2 hours cutting off leaves with black spot for disposal - at least it's not too cold.  This will require regular cutting off throughout the year.

Yellow Crocii open even though it's been dull.

Today I have removed two small mahonia shrubs from pots and planted them in the garden, well away from the path.  They have prickly leaves, un-noticed by myself when 3 years ago I planted similar: by the path! Which grabs me each time I walk by  :D.  Also put 3 small hellebores into the soil and have 2 more larger ones to transplant.

Too windy and chillier now.  Two frogs clinging together ..........

Bought a pot of Senetti in Tesco to plant out.
Never heard of them & found out it is a new plant on looking it up. Cross between aster & compositae.

I never know whether it's best to put fleece round mid afternoon to trap warmth?

:o :(. I've run out of space in our garden  :-\.  I've been digging out sedums in order to make space for other shrubs that require a different site here, lots of snowdrops pulled out ready for the Autumn when space will have settled. I have taken a lot of plants from pots into the borders 2 make less work if the Summer is hot.   :-\

I no longer have pots. Ok for annual bedding plants but other plants need freedom 🥵
