I have been reading about this and it turns out it is available on the NHS, its also available in Australia and USA.

Nope. Dextrose = sugar ...........
it seems a bit like acupuncture with bits in ........... the inflammation is probably caused by the movement of the needle once in position plus a foreign body, i.e. dextrose, being injected. Why this would encourage the ligament to tighten I don't know, a physio would need to explain very patiently

It's unusual to see that BUPA doesn't use it but the NHS does

I certainly would be willing to try it if it was offered, beats being injected with steroids for pain.
I think it must be similar to Hyaluronic acid injections for joint pain (used facial fillers too)
