Brut did and still does it for me every time!  ;D  However hubby loathes after shave with a passion these days.  :(  I did get a really nice one for my son once which was by DKNY I think, which he loved.

I got a present of Chanel No 5 once for my birthday from a friend.  I thought I was so sophisticated, think I was about 17 or 18.  However, I soon discovered it gave me migraines.   :(

I adore Coco Chanel and have worn it for years, but have recently stopped as my friend said it reminded her of 'old lady'!!!!?  I have defected to Miss Dior (not original one, the other one, used to be called Cherie I think) which does make me feel young and attractive.

I used to wear Charlie, and something dreadful called 'Knowing' by...(can't remember) - when I smell it now it practically makes me heave, but I thought it was the last word in sophistication when I was 20.  Funny how you change!

My mother used to wear Tweed, and my dad spalshed on Brut in the green bottle - I still LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that aftershave! Very happy memories for me.

That takes me back!  When I was still at school (maybe 15/16) I used to work holidays and weekends in a shop.  The woman I worked alongside was a lovely person, really stylish, very funny and very charismatic.  She was probably about 45-50 then but we got along really well and I looked up to her.  She always smelt lovely and told me it was Tweed and whenever I get the faintest whiff of it now, I always think of her. :)

Brutt 33 still takes me back to an old boyfriend and Saturday evenings at the speedway and stock car track and 'The Air That I breathe' by The Hollies takes me there as well

My favourites are the orginal Lacoste for women (not the new pink) and Orla Keily.  I like fresh scents like White linen and Diorella, but the former two are my current faves.

It's funny isn't it, how the olfactory (I think that's what it's called) sense can propell you back to a certain time and place...

I also went through a phase of wearing aftershave, because I really couldn't find a perfume that I liked!  I used to wear Jazz (YSL I think) Polo, and Aramis Devin (absolutely gorgeous, you can't get it in the UK any more I don't think) also Givenchy for men (yum).  I've always been a bit of a tomboy!

Oh no Kerrieann, how disappointing for you.
Does he have the cold by any chance?  I know that can cause a smell of onions on occasion?
Just trying to be helpful.
Glad you enjoy the smell yourself though.
What about asking a good (and honest) friend?
Although, smells are different for different people.
For £95, I am sure it wont smell of onions.

I put in a request for CK Euphoria for Xmas and got it.  I know that suits me and retains the smell, unlike some others I've had.

Did you buy from a reputable supplier Kerrieann? It could be that you have a counterfeit.

Surely shouldn't be counterfeit at £95 - I'd never pay that for a perfume.

How would you know though? It was just an idea.  I'd pay it if it was something I liked. Nowadays it's not even the equivalent of two tanks of petrol!
