;D  ... great time had.  Good B&B, Park and Ride, City buzzing ........ The Yellows won on Sat.  ;).  Now back to do the washing and plan our next trip.  We went to the Castle Museum, wandered along the street with antique shops in - GREAT for browsing and chatting with like-minded people; drove out to Wroxham and round but didn't get as far as the coast - this time.  Watched the snow  ::)

Glad you had a great time CLKD, I know the Castle Museum like the back of my hand, the times we had to go and see the "mummy" :o the kids were always fascinated.

Did you see the "The Mustard Shop"?

Always loved Wroxham too.

Oban is where I am going for a week in the summer.

It does not rain all the time and in any case there is never bad weather.....Just inappropriate clothing.

 ;)

Do weekends away count as holidays? I haven't been away since October and I'm off on a trek north tomorrow to see my younger two sons at university in Leeds. I was going to stay with one of them but one is in halls and the other shares a house with 4 other lads and another friend is staying there too - the thought of 7 people sharing a (lads) bathroom where resides the only loo in the house, was too much for me! So I have booked into a hotel for a couple of nights, and looking forward to four hours to myself on the train to catch up with some reading.

Yes they count as holidays.

Don't blame you for booking into a hotel. Don't know what your sons are like but mine who is old enough to know better is a nightmare in a bathroom so I can just imagine what it would be like  X 7.

Now you get a lovely weekend without having the need to clean a bathroom.

I'd be booking into a hotel too. 7 guys and 1 loo, no way.  ::)  If you're like me the general mess would drive me round the bend!  I can't cope in a hubble.
Have a lovely time.

Where are you back from? It looks as if you haven't enjoyed yourself?
