My town received 43 cms of snow yesterday, about 18 inches.  :o We haven't had a snowfall like that in many years.  The schools are closed again today because of the unplowed side side streets and continued clean up. The sun is out finally and it's a chilly -7.

18" would bring England to a halt!  Well, 2"' would  ::)

After a bright frosty start by 1.30 the sky had clouded up and it looks like it's trying to snow.

That pretty much happened. The highways were impassable from vehicles like transport trucks, busses and cars getting stuck.  Dh got stuck trying to get out of the driveway to finish clearing the snow.  We had 3ft drifts on both cars :o  The clean-up continues today.

I remember in 1981 that we were walking over cars that were stuck between hedgerows ............ we weren't aware!

I like the Buffalo Bills NFL team, it looked freezing there last weekend, my other team are the Green Bay Packers another really cold city  ;D

I don't think you can get a much colder stadium than Lambeau field! ;D  Buffalo is not far from me, but they are on the other side of the lake so they get a lot more snow than we do when the wind blows just right.
