Very windy, rain on & off, even had sunshine for an hour or two this afternoon, along with lighter winds. Wind has now strengthened again.

A dreadful night. Whilst in the bath at 11.00 p.m. a storm charged through for about 20 mins.. I woke at 2.30 to a screaming, howling "Cathy!/Heathcliffe!"-type wind. Thought it was house alarms them my dog crying to get in [pts 23.02.02]

. Was awake then for hours .... stood at the window watching scudding white clouds against a full moon but in comparison with the noise, not much branch movement!

Calm now. Blue sky. Bird feeders need picking off the ground and refilling $:-\$

Still windy but not as gusty as yesterday, the local weather station at sea level here had a gust if 76 mph yesterday. We lost a small part of the weatherboarded yesterday and my in laws garden fence is down.

12.30 the sky clouded up and it poured down with high winds. Again.

Weather conditions are described as poor due to heavy snow.
