Raining all day! The only day I decided not to take a jacket as it was dry when I looked out the window first thing. Taken a jacket the rest of the week but left in car as it's beed dry although a high of 16oc and dull. No sunnies here!!

Daughter in France on holiday, too hot she says, son in Spain, lives there,but hot most of the time so sat in shade now,

Yes thank you Yorkshire girl, not always sunny here, the weather forecast though always says cooler on the coast, but a mile or so in it's not, probably only by the sea, very misleading sometimes

Yes it can be, the cloud/mist/drizzle extra the weathermen say could hang around the east coast can be very isolated to one or two spots. There have been times when it's horrible in Scarborough and it's sunny in Whitby or south in Bridlington!

A very short distance can make a difference, my daughter once rang me and said it was pouring down, and had to bring her washing in, ,not where i was, about a mile away, very strange

100% agree, we dont get a chance to acclimatise to it, such brief episodes of sun in our life times!!!! Not that I'm complaining whilst menopausal, it's a relief.
