Just been talking to my son. He lives in Maine USA, where they have over 2 feet of snow at the moment and much, much higher where it drifts. The icicles from the roof are hanging down 3 feet down. My son is a paramedic, so doesn't get 'snow' days off. He says the problem is when they have to get to ill and/or old people, who cannot clear the way to their doors. It creates a lot of work. They have to clear snow in the town and carry it away in dumper trucks and dump elsewhere. I think I would rather have the dull cloudy grey days here, rain or not!
