Wild but mild!!! Earlier looked at the webcam of our local coastal town and the waves breaking over the harbour wall were amazing. We were going to go down there tonight to see the storm and have a take-away, but hearing the gusts decided against venturing over the hills as perhaps a little foolhardy as there are lots of woods and trees on the way  ::)

How are you all up in NW England and Scotland? The pictures on the news look very dramatic and scary with the force of water coming down the rivers and streets....

Being in NE Scotland we missed the rain, or most if it anyway. Was very windy last night. Felt like the house might blow down. However, we were the lucky ones.

Pictures from Cumbria & Southern Scotland were awful.

Proper frost this morning with ice on the car still at 9.15 am - first this year that's been like this! Winter is coming..... that reminded me of a round I have sung

Fly fly fly
The leaves are leaving the branch
Cold are the winds
Winter is coming

In south east Scotland it's been wild, wet and windy - oh, and daaark..........yeuch!  Glad to have my extra-strong bright yellow sea-farer's mac thing that I bought in Honfleur eleven years ago.  Nothing gets through it.   Okay, I look and feel like a supermarket trolley attendant in it, but it's brilliant.

I remember in my teenage years having a bright yellow PVC coat. It was all the rage back then. Likewise nothing got through it. Was just thinking about it the other day. I wore it to death!

It's blowing hard again!  I'm sure this wasn't forecast  :-\ - if we didn't have double glazing my camillia would be inside the lounge  :o ;D

Nowt got through PVC!  Did your have a hood, mine did ………..
