Quite mild and calm. But nippy outside to start, hence the wild bird invasion at her we topped all their food up.

Looks like a chilly few days ahead. But, well, we all think it's a New Year so almost Spring.... Hmm no, we get first in May as well and I dash out to fleece the delicate plants. Winter drawers on !

Snowball fight : Roxana Miskelly, 38, from Inverurie, said the idea was sparked on Monday after a huge amount of snow fell throughout the day.

I haven't managed to break the ice on the ponds yet, will need to take boiling water out this afternoon then cover the water with bubble wrap.

It's turned right round, positively balmy $:-\$ and the wind hasn't been too noisy. Yet. Gentle rain overnight, however the ice on the ponds though mobile will take a few days to melt completely.
