Yes I don't normally dwell on celebrity deaths much but I felt this morning that the world is a poorer place without this fine actor. Rest at peace John Hurt.

Yes I liked him too, he did a series years ago called The Storyteller, where he read fairy stories or fables from around Europe, anyone else remember. He was a classy actor and if he was in it, it was usually good.

A brilliant actor both on stage and in film but also someone who gave his time very generously to charities. So sad especially as, if I remember correctly, it had been thought that he'd beaten his cancer. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

More a case of what he wasn't in
Among many many others I saw him in I Claudius, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Alien, The Elephant Man, Champions, The Naked Civil Servant, An Englishman in New York, Captain Corelli''s Mandolin
I believe he is in Jackie, the new release about Jackie Onassis.
An exceptional talent.
