Hi crazynana
 :welcomemm:
You may find that HRT sorts it for you - many do - but if not, Vagifem is very popular among the ladies on here.
Why not introduce yourself on "New Members"? Newbies often get missed in the middle of existing threads and others will want to welcome you.  :great:

I would rec Vagfem to anyone
BUT it doesnt make your old fanny juices work well it doesnt to me
Doesnt matter how much we kiss cuddle Its the same I just close my eyes and hope to god this time doesnt hurt to enter
Most times its fine really OK but its never the same as it was mind look at our hubbies they arent the same either
I remember not that many years ago Bobbles would be ram rod rampant now HMMMM hes not as rock hard as he once was mind with AV thank god for that Hed dribble all over the place before he even trouched me that dont happen anymore GP told him it was age (56?) and the fact hes on BP pills and COL pills but we have a good sex life
I would like it more than once a week but I also think my AV has affected him hes always worried hes hurting me
I think being too honest like I was telling him everyday how I felt wasnt a good thing to do bit like seeing a baby bron
Sounds great and is great but in principle wonder how many men feel their wives are as sexy DOWN there after watching a huge head and ripping skin YEOWWWWWWWWWWWW not mine he wouldnt even come in

I have just been reading about this book " Down There: Sexual and Reproductive Health the Wise Woman Way" (Wise Woman Herbal Series) [Paperback]

Its sounds interesting and I will probably buy it from Amazon.

For anyone motivated to try other ways of looking after vaginal and sexual health besides hormones or as well as I do.

I have Susan Weeds other book and have dipped it it for over 15 years now and still find it useful and helpful, its not all about herbs either!

Aww Hi Suzi-sorry to hear you've been having probs. You were the Vagifem poster girl as well!

I'm a bit confused though. You say that Vagi doesn't restore the tissues and make you juicy again?? I thought that's what it was for???

I'm having a bit of a blip myself as it's def not working like it was. My main problem is with sex...it's absolute agony and we have really let things slide, so much so it's a bit like the "Elephant in the room". Not good. What I was planning to do was (when my OH is away!) putting some Yes Yes Yes on a vibrator and gradually entering it to see if that does anything. But after reading about doing the 2 week thing more often I don't know if I should try that?

Who the **** would be a woman????  :'(

I think that in the early stages of meno then Vagifem is enough to restore the tissues and to keep the vagina moist and healthy but as you go further into meno and your oestrogen levels deplete even more then, sometimes, you need full HRT to achieve the same effect. Even further in you may need HRT plus Vagifem (I have been prescribed both). Are you on vagifem?

Suzi - you are supposed to use condoms for a while to stop the thrush being passed between you all the time. There is no point in using the cream etc. if you are still having skin to skin contact. It will just keep happening. Also, if he has started using it and now stopped you will be back where you started really quickly!

sorry Suzi.

Hi Taz, yes I've been on Vagifem since August. Everything seems to have plumped up (outwardly at least!) but sex is still very painful. I really don't want to go on full HRT so I'm a bit stumped  :-\

Oh sorry - I read this "I'm having a bit of a blip myself as it's def not working like it was" to mean that sex wasn't working like it was  ;D

Is the pain at the entrance to the vagina or deeper inside. I can remember it feeling like my man had a razor blade attached to the upperside of his willy!

The entrance is fine but definitely the razor blade feeling once it's inside!

Sometimes I wonder if it's cos I'm expecting it to hurt-the mind's a very powerful thing. I'm thinking that after nearly 7 months on Vagifem this is probably as good as it's going to get?

Does it always feel like that?
Once after a few movements doesnt it ease off untill you get dry inside?
Id maybe go back chat to Gp cant hurt
Bobbles and I can still thank God make love but it is hit and miss
Sometimes Ok but even then if Im honest I can never relax Im always tense
I try to hide it but I dont think Im a success weve gone from every week maybe twice a week to may once a fortnight
Or even 3 weeks Which causes problems Cos if its left too long my opening tightens Vagimosis I think the GP said
He didnt investigate any further he said use Condoms and Sylk and the Sylk but both of us have a thing about lube
Plus once in im wet as????????????????????????
