Hi Suzanne,
it's no fun is it?  :(
I got really sore about 6 months ago & it improved just before having a slight show (couldn't really call it a period!!) Then it was downhill rapidly again so I went & got vagifem, used it fo 14 nights & now have to use twice a week, it has improved, so I am hoping I have stopped the deterioration in time  :)
Could you possibly have cystitis or water infection?
I got very sore even just going to the loo, but I knew it was only the atrophy, but apparently cystitis is common in women when they get very sore & dry., might be worth getting it checked out.

Hi SuziQ

Glad you are starting to feel better. I use Ovestin as well and it has made a huge difference.
However I ALWAYS use a lubricant as well, I'm using Durex Play at the moment and very happy with it. The risk of soreness if I don't use lube is just too great. The Ovestin plumps everything back up nicely but doesn't seem to provide the juices as well, if you know what I mean  ;)

I would definitely recommend you use some kind of lubrication, if you don't the friction will make any symptoms down there so much worse.

I agree with juices Ive lost all mine they went about 2 years ago
But the Ovestin seems to act as a lubricant for me and I know if its not with in 2 secs it STOOOPPPPP
Thanks for all the concern
Suzi Q ;)

Suzi could you have an allergy to something?
I ask because I once switched brands of washing powder and ended up very sore and itchy down there. It took me ages to figure out what was causing it.

You could try going knickerless for a few days to see if it helps  ;)

Suzi,
have you checked the ingredient list, just in case they have slightly changed?
i hate it when you get 'new & improved' of anything because I always find it's not as good or reliable as it was previously  >:(
i can't use ovestin or orthon gynest, I am allergic to chlorohexadine (sp)

Suzi - are you sure you haven't got thrush - it doesn't always show the same symptoms in everyone. I read somewhere that all these problems started for you after a course of antibiotics? Have you ever had a swab taken to work out if it is one of the numerous infections we can get in our "bits"? I know it is probably a daft question and that you have more than likely followed up all the possible causes but sometimes the simple things can be overlooked http://www.womenshealthlondon.org.uk/leaflets/thrush/thrush.html

NOPE had water tested 4 times the second one showed up a very nasty infection
It wouldnt suprise me to find ive thrush again and or a UTI Ive made an appt for 21/11
If its like again tonight sod it I will go to a GP down the road Im almost at the end of my rope
Also took my blue pill hubbie stood over me and with in 30mins or so the pain eased considerably
Hes always saying a lot of it is nerves but this is just like last year it hurt so much
Put a tad more cream in tonight 3rd night now just 1/2 the amount but I feel like ive been punched
I hope your days been heaps better than mine and I feel so bad I cant show any excitment about our trip im in too muc pain
Oddly pain killers dont help wonder why?
Hugs and thank you
