Hiya
Just wondered how many of you are taking magnesium and if so how much per day.
Thanks in advance.

I take a calcium/magnesium supplement.
2 tabs are 300mgs magnesium. This is classed as 80% of your RDA.
I will warn you that magnesium has a laxative effect and if I take any more than 2 tabs, it does give me the trots!

I take 2x100mg of magnesium citrate daily for "regularity". It works.

Thanks Sarah2 and Andius. (Especially for the warning)!!! Lol!!
I was unsure how much to take as I have started the Menopace tabs and in that there is 100mg magnesium so I am wondering whether to cut the 300mg magnesium ones I have just bought in half and just see how that goes.
What do you reckon. Don't want to spent the whole time on the loo!!
Thanks again for your replies.

Didn't know about the laxative effect of Magnesium. I've recently started taking it and wondered why bowels were a bit overactive!!!! I never get constipated (i'm vegetarian) so often have to up my egg intake to bind me a bit - TMI sorry. Oh well, may lose some weight?!! DG x

It can't do you any harm, but on the other hand ...!!!!
It also depends a lot on what your daily diet is.
I'd try your 300mgs along with the menopace and see how you go ( no pun intended!)

I also take the clacium, vitamin D and magnesium tablets. I take 2 per day (300mg) and haven't had the side effect. I guess it's wise to be prepared for it though, just in case!
Good luck!

Hi
I use the magnesium oil spray, is absorbed quicker. Its really good, tingles the first couple you use it for a few mins.

I take one 250 mg a day. I have noticed the laxative effect but nothing else as yet. Doesn't seem to have helped my sleep but only been taking it for a week.

Hi ladies it's good to read of others experiences I want to try taking menopace and calcium in 1 tablet to help with my headaches and migraines been told that magnesium helps with migraines although I know there's only 100m in the tablet so may not be enough to help but I will give it a go anyway I'm sure the other vitamins will help me anyway
