« on: August 26, 2016, 11:22:41 PM »

All labs normal and two EKGs last one was a month ago. I keep having these horrible things happening to me and no answers. I stay woozy headed constantly was real bad dizziness back in Oct but subsided to just mild wooziness. Well the past few days its been getting alittle more intense lightheaded and woozy not severe but more then mildly. I've been dealing with palps racing heart of and on but lately I'm getting pains off and on in my chest that sends me into panic dr says anxiety. I do have anxiety but I'm scared I will get this hot sensation come across my chest with a mild pain, sometimes burning pains sometimes sharp. I have tension in my neck, shoulders, back and I don't know if this has anything to do with it. My cycles is all over the place I started peri at 34 I'll be 40 in Oct ive never had on going symptoms without a break since this started until last July. I'm trying not to panic but I have no idea why all these things is non stop I will get bp spikes as well and I'm on a bp med I did have thyroid vitamins and hormones checked but don't understand the hormone levels.i also get alot of adrenaline on my chest and stomach alot and I start panic a bit I don't know how to make any of these things stop and I'm very scared. Can anyone rrlate to any of these please respond and if so can u describe how they effect you my life is literally on hold

No wonder you feel scared with all  those problems!
I'm NOT a medical doctor so wouldn't dream of advising you re treatment  but maybe post with your hormonal history, hormonal blood test results.
If you haven't already get a print out of them from your GP  as they (your symptoms) might due to hormonal imbalances?
If so, the right and effective HRT might be the answer if you have been suffering for 6 years with a peri-menopause starting at 34?
Often (not always) psychological problems such as anxiety and depression are mis-diagnosed as to the cause and the hormonal cause can be completely overlooked and incorrect meds given (like antidepressants).  On that aspect I am qualified to comment!

Read round on this site and others to get more info.

Don't panic - knowledge is power and the more you know , the more you  can make informed decisions.
You have lots of options but read around a bit first and maybe post on here for further support and/or advice? xx

Hello angel,
I am so sorry you are having such a bad time. Although I am a lot older than you, I suffer from all these horrible anxiety symptoms as well. In the past I have kept them under control with a mix of ads and hrt. Has your doc offered any help at all? I think you should go back and insist on some help. You cannot continue like this.
Sorry I do not understand your hormone levels so can offer no help with that. I'm sure some of the other ladies on here can help analyse them.
Big hug - it will get better.

You need to edit your posts to take out personal information.

It's "The Change", something many medics World wide don't appreciate, how different each lady can feel once the hormones begin to become more noticeable …….. browse round, make notes.  There are lots of treatments out there, some ladies find that keeping a mood/food/cycle diary helpful, charting any changes is something to take to the GP and discuss.

Menopause can begin at an early age when it would be wise for a lady to be given HRT to protect heart and bones.

I've tried many antidepressants throughout the years for. Xiety either didn't work or the side effects was too harsh. I've had anxiety almost my whole life and it's been nothing like this.i started therapy for the second time and psychiatrist wants me to take gabapentin for anxiety and that's a anti seizure medication I'm scared too.

Anglfrmhvn69, I can relate to those readings and I'm glad they used pg/mL to make my life easier!

Your progesterone is very slightly higher than mine but your oestrogen is considerably lower.  My last oestrogen blood reading was 238 pg/mL and this is the level at which I feel very good and roughly the same as I did aged 30 and what I would call back to normal.

I wonder if your oestrogen levels are too low and that is why you are not feeling good?  You need to find the right level and try to avoid going below that level if you can.  When my oestrogen was (roughly) at your level, my themostat didn't work properly, I broke into a sweat far too easily and didn't have the ability to adjust to changing temperatures and I felt tinny, half baked and not quite there.

To put things into perspective, I am 55, about 10 years post menopause, use 2 pumps of Oestrogel everyday, a small bead of testosterone every day, 25mcg DHEA supplements everyday and take very little progesterone (not registered on my test results).

I hope that helps.

Anglfrmhvn69, what is normal for one women is not normal for another.  Many women would find symptom relief with an oestrogen level of 118 pg/mL but it would seem that you are not so it needs to be looked at again.

It is pointless telling a woman that her levels are normal if she is not getting symptom relief.  I think you need to see a hormone specialist ultimately but in the meantime, it might be worth at least trying to increase your dose of oetrogen to see if you feel any better.

By the way, I am assuming that you don't have any underlying health condition which would cause these symptoms.

Where are you based?
