CLKD- not instead of, as well as the other 2 ADs I'm taking.
One for OCD the other for depression.

I have been doing really well  on the increased dose of Mirtazapine but I thought I was going to have a panic attack whilst driving the other day and I haven't felt 'right' for a day or two.
I'll PM you.

Yes, I take this (as part of a cocktail of medications) occasionally for muscle spasms and chronic neuropathic pain (I have spinal cord damage and am disabled from my waist down). I don't know what strength you have been prescribed but depending on this it can be stronger than valium/diazepam. It is part of the same benzo family of medications. It stays in the system for longer than valium/diazepam. It is also used as a sleep aid when prescribed at certain strengths of dosage.

I have never had any side effects expect for sedation. I have found that it takes longer to “kick in” than valium/diazepam but it gives me relief for longer. As I say I use it for other reasons but I have never had any negative experiences taking it

Good luck I hope it helps you.

Well Done!   ;) is it not possible to increase what you are already taking for a few weeks rather than adding another drug to the hotchpotch?

CLKD-
Did you get my pm?
The clonazapam is for anxiety which my GP thought was brought on by my brother.
Today though I'm feeling more depressed,no motivation, dont want to get up,don't want to go out etc etc.
I'm waiting to hear from my psychiatrist after I emailed him this morning because I was so desperate.

Hi Dylan The dose you have is lower that I take and it should help with the anxiety you have, I am sorry that you are feeling so very low right now and hope that things improve for you very soon.

Even knowing that these feelings will pass with medication it doesn't make me feel any less stressed about it
