Bisphosphonates


Bisphosphonates are currently used as first-line treatments in postmenopausal women with proven osteoporosis who are not suffering from menopausal symptoms. Tablets should be swallowed with water, in an upright position, at least 30 minutes before the first food or drink of the day and at least 30 minutes before lying down. Didronel should be taken with water in the middle of a 4 hour fast.
