On World Menopause Day, October 18th 2007, the International Menopause Society (IMS) urges nations to place greater focus on menopausal health issues and to take active steps to educate women about the health-related implications of menopause.
In a press release the IMS summarises the effects of menopause, both for early symptoms and also long term health problems, emphasises the effectiveness, benefits and minimal risks of Hormone Replacement therapy, and encourages every nation to prioritise menopausal health issues, while encouraging women to talk to their doctors and create a plan to take charge of their health.
