WW - Propoints
« on: January 20, 2011, 09:40:28 AM »

Hi everyone,

wondering if anyone is on the new WW Propoints plan and how are you doing?

I did WW 17 yrs ago and lost 2 stone, on the old system.  But I have to say I have tried the Points system a couple of years ago, but could not get on with it.  Need to seriously do something about my weight as I need to lose 2 stone again!  I have cut out chocolate as I am a chocoholic!!!!

Smaller portions more often.  So that you never crave anything nor do you feel hungry and grab rubbish food.  Exercise.  Don't deny yourself a treat.  But limit what you treat yourself too.  Points systems vary between the different weight 'loss' companies so it's only for guide-lines, what is important is that you find something which works for you.  Going along to your GP surgery to get weighed every 3 months and eating less should work.  Waiting until March though when we need less padding to keep warm might work too!

Dark chocolate very good for you.  Acts as mood elevator like serotonin and good for heart.  65% or higher dark cocoa best.  No milk chocolate.  Seriously, Google it, and enjoy (in moderation, of course).

Apparently the body loses water first which seems like we shed weight quickly, then it stablises.  So don't lose heart, enjoy the diet and if you are able, go to a group meeting occasionally.  I have 2 friends who do so and they get as much out of the chat as they do the diet  :)

Cutey1
I actually bought a subscription to Weightwatchers online - THEN looked at the Pro points system and freaked. There's no way I would be able to stick to it - so I cancelled within the same hour and got my money back. I could almost hear their sighs and see them shaking their heads over the airwaves - felt really silly.
Join a gym and cut your portion sizes - thats what I'm doing now.

I joined ww in July last year sruggled for so long to lose weight. The old plan was good and the new one is good good. The difference is that fruit is now free (you had to count it in your points before the new plan)
Takes a bit of getting used to counting everything now this is the interesting bit....July -Feb I have now
lost 26.1/2Lbs Im not hungry. I have treats enjoy the odd meal out.
You do have to want to follow this diet and you do have to be mentally ready too.
I still feel I need tolose anothe stone and I have allowed myself anoth year to do this in.My weight comes off very slowly but off is off no matter how long it takes.
Good luck if you decide to go ahead .Oh and I find going to WW meeting helps me keep on track.
email me if you would like to have a little  :)support
