I have found that the only thing that can lift me out of the 'modern times' doldrums especially with war/politics going on is a country music song! I'm normally a punk/new wave woman but this is all anonymous so I don't mind saying 'Dime Store Cowgirl' by Kacey Musgraves is the one. First thing in the morning - setting the tone to cheesy happy.

On HellsBells I love a bit of coutry, old stuff and new.
In my girly shed my radio is tuned into one station only Smooth Country, I often sing loudly and sod the people walking past!
Can I throw in Dolly Partons I Will Always Love You? Never, ever the Whitney version.😂

That shouldn't be allowed
Wogan used to play Dolly a lot, we would have the radio on first thing B4 we got into the car in 1976 - without a radio - to drive to work. Jolene was often on.

CLKD, it wouldn't work for me, but if I can warble along so can Beyonce!
Heard Alison Krauss with Robert Plant? Shouldnt work but somehow it does.

I find the older I get the more my music tastes are going back in time. I’ve discovered Boom radio and love all the old stuff.
I give you Johnny Mathis - I’m Stone In Love With You because my mam loved him 😊
