Hi Ladies,
First time poster (long time reader) here.
I'm 51 and had perimenopausal symptoms probably from my early 40s. Started HRT 4 years ago. First on Evorel sequi (think it was called that) with the norethosterone. I then went onto evorel 25 plus utrogestan (200mg for 14 days. Then onto Evorel 50 plus provera, then Evorel 50 back to the Utrogestan. Had some polyps & thickened lining last year which were removed and luckily non cancerous. This year had bleeding again so decided to come off the hrt.
I started taking myo-inositol while each month cutting a slice off the patch. I started on a 50mg dose and slowly increased it when symptoms returned. This worked well over around 7 months. Around 3 weeks ago I ripped the patch off as I was forgetting to change it. Still had a 3 months of reductions to go. Since then I am finding the inositol is not keeping up. Probably due to the big drop in hormones
Increasing it by 50mg every second day. On 1300mg now.
The worst thing is the brain fog, anxiety and low mood.
I have read that creatine is supposed to help with brain fog, but one shouldn't have it with coffee.
Has anybody in here taken inositol as an hrt replacement or creatine with any success?
I have tried various herbal supplements prior to hrt and none worked. I still take menopace vitamins and coenzyme q10 100mg.
